In this blog series we introduce you to the Uptrends team! From development to sales, from finance to marketing, and from ops to support: we’re a group of passionate people on a mission to help improve your website performance.
This week meet support and operations team member Jason Dailey. Jason has been with Uptrends since 2015, and in that time has expanded his role within the company.
What is your role at Uptrends?
“In a nutshell I oversee support for North America, as well as operations for the two U.S. offices,” Jason said. “I oversee desktop and network support for the U.S. offices of Uptrends. I also assist with pre-sales engineering questions. If a client has a technical question I will jump on a call with a member of the sales team and help answer it.”
Prior to joining Uptrends Jason was employed as a project manager in corporate security. His background in speaking with clients and assisting them with technical issues has carried over into his support role, helping to keep the Uptrends application running smoothly 24 hours a day.
“I’m very passionate about the clients that I help support,” Jason said. “I like to truly be a partner in supporting their website and product.”
What do you do for fun?
When Jason isn’t offering support assistance to our more than 15,000 customers, he likes to be active in his community.
“In my spare time I like to coach youth sports. I also do a lot of volunteer work. I sit on the board of directors for a few different sports organizations in my town; I help them handle their financials and make decisions.”
Jason and his wife Amy have been married for 14 years, and they have a son, 12, and a daughter, 7. One of Jason’s favorite things is to travel and go on vacation with his family.
“We love to be on vacation in Florida,” he said. “We do a lot of fishing and spend a lot of time at the beach. Clearwater, Florida is like a home away from home for us.”
Jason also expressed a passion for live music; he currently has tickets to go see Guns N’ Roses in concert next week at Gillette Stadium.
When it comes to his food tastes, they are simple yet refined.
“Nothing beats a good cheeseburger,” Jason said. “I like to grill anything; I really enjoy marinating different kinds of steak and chicken.”
What’s next?
Jason looks forward to helping the Uptrends product grow and make the support team better than ever. On his own time, Jason will continue to enjoy taking things easy and relaxing.
“I love playing video games with my kids, going to the movies, and watching cartoons. I’m just a kid at heart.”
