Uptrends’ COVID-19 plan

The Covid-19 or coronavirus spread is having an impact on businesses around the globe. Some companies have suspended business, governments have shut down travel and closed schools, and we’ve seen the cancellation of large events such as conferences, concerts, and sporting events. All of which affect you and your business. Companies around the world have put together plans to help prevent the spread of the virus from affecting their employees and their businesses. Uptrends has done the same.

Uptrends takes your monitoring seriously, and we do everything in our power to make sure your monitoring and support go uninterrupted. This short post explains a little bit about Uptrends’ regular working environment and our plan to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 within our office.

Global locations

Uptrends staffs five offices in four countries. By maintaining global locations, Uptrends is less susceptible to localized issues such as weather and virus outbreaks. For example, you probably didn’t notice when our Boca Raton, Florida office closed for a week due to Hurricane Irma in 2017. Business went on as usual while we waited for the restoration of electric service in South Florida.

Remote workforce

Uptrends already has a remote workforce. Our office locations are closed Tuesdays and Thursdays while our entire staff works from home. We’ve already set up each employee with a complete home office with VPN connections. If we have the need, our staff is prepared to work from home at a moment’s notice.

Conclusion

We understand and share your concern about the spread of the virus and how that may affect your business. However, we’ve got a plan to make sure your monitoring goes uninterrupted. That gives you one less thing to worry about! If you have any questions or additional concerns, please reach out to your monitoring consultant or open a support ticket, and we will get back to you shortly. We wish you the best and good health.
