The results: Q4 went up 33% and 2018 went up 30%

We’ve wrapped up the fourth quarter and 2018 on a high note! We’ve completed the fourth quarter of 2018 with a 33% increase over the fourth quarter of 2017, and the year 2018 finished 30% over 2017’s totals.

Q4 2018 in review

Q4 wrapped up nicely for Uptrends with a 33% increase over Q4 of 2017. Somehow during all the jostling of holidays, we made some new friends and got some things done.

New customers

We’ve added quite a few new customers, and we welcome you all big or small. These and many more joined us in Q4:

  • L’Oréal
  • Vodafone
  • Soho House
  • Rentalcars.com
  • DermaLab

New solutions and enhancements

2018 saw many new solutions and features including:

During Q4 most of the new development happened behind the scenes, and we will be revealing the results of all of that very soon (We can hardly wait!). We delivered many fixes, features, and new solutions during the quarter.

200 test locations

Let’s say that one more time—200 test locations. Let us be clear, this isn’t 200 test servers, for many of our locations have multiple servers, but 200 worldwide locations! You can get all the details in this blog post.

IMAP Email server monitoring

Uptrends has had email server monitoring for some time (SMTP and POP3), but it wasn’t until recently we could monitor email servers using the IMAP protocol. The new IMAP Monitoring is available now in your email server monitoring options.

Expanded Audit logs

Back in Q3 2018, we added a new feature in the Account section for administrator operators with Premium, Professional, Business, and Enterprise accounts, the Audit log. The audit log records information about changes within the account so that you know who did what in your Uptrends account. We added the following items to the Audit Log During Q4:

  • Monitor Group changes
  • Bulk Alert start/stop
  • Changes to a monitor’s alert settings
  • Alert definition changes
  • Checkpoint selection changes
  • SLA definition changes
  • Vault Certificate additions and changes

Wait steps in Multi-step API

You can now add wait steps in your Multi-step API Monitors. When you’ve got an API call that takes a moment longer to process, you can now add the extra wait time as a step (free step) in your Multi-step API Monitors.

Also happening in 2018

We had other achievements in 2018. The biggest, of course, was the relocation of our Netherlands office. We had outgrown our old offices, so the move was on. Our beautiful new office space has plenty of room and amenities to suit our current and future needs as we continue to grow our staff.

We also came in sixth this year on the Main Software 50 list, which evaluates and ranks the top 50 Dutch software companies. Read about that on our blog.

A look ahead at 2019

Our developers have been working on several new solutions and features throughout the past year that haven’t become public yet. Some have even entered private beta. We would love to tell you more about it, but not yet. We are also planning the rest of the goals for 2019. That means now is the perfect time for you to make those feature requests that you’ve been putting off. Please be sure to read the feature requests process and policy before making your requests.

Thank you all again for a great quarter and amazing 2018. May all of you have high availability and fast load times throughout 2019.
